Boston retailer Concepts looks to late 1960s music festivals for the Air Max 1 SP 'Mellow', an eclectic design packed with textures and prints.
Blue tie-dye denim forms the upper, lined with burgundy corduroy and topped by a cowhide overlay at the forefoot. Bandana-style prints decorate the collar and heel, and the green textile mudguard takes its cue from an army-surplus M-65 field jacket. The two Swooshes don't match, one floral and one striped, and a red velvet tongue carries a woven label with Concepts and Nike branding. A faint mud-splatter print marks the off-white polyurethane midsole. A great conversation piece that suits relaxed, vintage-inspired outfits.
