Justin Saunders' JJJJound returns to New Balance for this take on the 990v3, the third version of the long-running Made in USA 990 line. The idea here is restraint: one deep olive tone, carried across almost every part of the shoe.
Breathable mesh forms the base, layered with pigskin suede in the same shade for a soft, tonal finish. A black 'N' on each side is the only strong contrast, while JJJJound's name is printed on a reflective silver heel tab. Underneath sits New Balance's ENCAP midsole, which pairs a cushioned EVA core with a tougher polyurethane rim so it keeps its support over time. An easy pair to wear with neutral, workwear-leaning outfits.
