The New Balance 550 first launched in 1989 as a basketball shoe. After New Balance revived it from the archives in 2020, its clean, low-profile court look made it one of the most popular retro sneakers of the decade.
The New Balance 550 "White Green" (also known as Forest Green) released on 24 June 2021 in a varsity-inspired two-tone colourway. Crisp white leather makes up the upper, reinforced with a tonal suede toe cap and finished with a forest green "N" logo. The green returns on the tongue tag, collar and external heel counter. It sits on traditional cupsole tooling with an exposed foam wedge on the medial side and a green rubber outsole. The white and green look is clean and easy to wear with straight-leg jeans, chinos or shorts. Every pair is checked for authenticity before it ships, and shipping is free on every NZ order.
