Open a sealed Japanese box and the first thing you notice is the finish: tight wrap, crisp print and cards that feel built to last. Pokémon and One Piece get most of the attention, but the Gundam Card Game, Dragon Ball Super Fusion World and Magic: The Gathering's crossover sets are where a lot of collectors are now putting their shelf space. Here's what each game is, what sits inside the sealed boxes we've just added, and where to find them in NZ.

Gundam Card Game: the beta box that came first
Bandai's Gundam Card Game launched worldwide in July 2025, but Japanese players got a head start. The Limited Box Ver.β landed in Japan in December 2024, months before the full game, as an early look at the rules and cards. That head start is a big part of its appeal: it is the first sealed product the game ever had.
Each box holds 16 beta booster packs with 9 cards per pack, plus 56 fixed cards, 1 Legend Rare card, 2 play sheets and 6 damage counter dice. In other words, it is a complete way to learn and play the game straight out of the box, not just a stack of packs. The box's clean white design also suits a shelf.
Our Limited Box Ver.β is sealed and in Japanese.
Dragon Ball Super Fusion World: Toriyama's art on every card
Fusion World is Bandai's current Dragon Ball card game, launched in Japan in 2024. Every Japanese pack also carries a serial code for the digital version of the game, so you can play the same cards on PC.
The two Manga Booster sets are the ones collectors chase. Instead of the anime key art used in the main sets, they use manga panels drawn by Akira Toriyama. Manga Booster 01 arrived in Japan on 28 June 2025 for Dragon Ball's 40th anniversary, with 110 card types and 21 energy marker designs. Manga Booster 02 continues the manga-art idea; its full card list is TBC here until we can confirm it.
For collectors who want something to keep rather than open, the 2nd Anniversary Set is the showpiece. It came out in Japan in June 2026 and holds 10 alt-art cards with foil stamping, 5 special energy markers, a synthetic leather card case, 5 card loaders and a storage box. We also have the 1st Anniversary promotional card set in stock; its contents are TBC.
Magic: The Gathering: Final Fantasy and The Hobbit
Magic's Universes Beyond sets bring other worlds into the oldest trading card game, and two of the biggest are on our shelf.
Final Fantasy released on 13 June 2025 as a full Standard-legal set. A Collector Booster box holds 12 packs of 15 cards, each pack loaded with rares and foils (some of them Surge Foils). Our Japanese Collector Booster Box suits collectors who like Japanese-language cards, and the Chocobo Bundle is a Japanese Final Fantasy bundle with the yellow bird front and centre; its exact contents are TBC.
The Hobbit released on 14 August 2026. A Collector Booster box holds 12 packs, and the set includes five cards printed entirely in Dwarvish. We stock it in English and Japanese.
Why collectors buy these sealed
Sealed boxes are the cleanest way to own a set: the contents are untouched, the packaging is part of the appeal, and a box looks good on a shelf. Japanese-language boxes add their own pull, with print quality collectors rate highly and artwork that often differs from overseas releases. If you already collect our Japanese Pokémon boxes or One Piece Card Game boxes, these are a natural next step. Our guides to Japanese Pokémon booster boxes and Japanese One Piece booster boxes cover those two games in depth.
