Named after the famous cry that set off Mexico's fight for independence, the Air Jordan 5 'El Grito - Sail' is a tribute to Mexican culture and heritage. It takes Tinker Hatfield's classic mid-top and gives it a soft, off-white look with meaningful details worked into the build.
Tumbled sail leather covers the upper, and perforations on the midfoot take the place of the usual TPU netting. Embossed patterns drawn from Mexican architecture show up on the toe, heel and tongue, with a burgundy stitched Jumpman on the tongue as well. The polyurethane midsole houses visible Air in the heel and carries shark tooth graphics that differ by foot, red on the left shoe and green on the right. A neutral pair that works with most outfits.
