The Vans Old Skool was the first Vans shoe to carry the Sidestripe, added in 1977 as a hand-drawn 'jazz stripe' by founder Paul Van Doren. Built on the brand's waffle outsole with a reinforced suede toe, it's a skate shoe that became one of the most worn silhouettes anywhere.
This is the 36 ABC Camo colourway of the BAPE x Vans Old Skool. It comes from the BAPE collaboration — a limited release rather than a general-line product, produced in smaller numbers and not repeated. It released on 26 July 2024. It's an easy pair to build an outfit around, and works as readily with denim as it does with technical or tailored pieces.
